Our Production Team

B.

(Bernard Houston Composer)

I have been part of the Switchboard team since 2006. Over that time we partnered with a range of organisations to deliver initiatives that provide real opportunity for Brisbane creatives. These include the Emerge Project (Judith Wright Centre), the Babble-on Project (The Queensland State Library & Library Cafe) and most recently the Switchboard Project (SuperOrdinary, Vacant Assembly, KEPK Gallery & Chrome St Studios).

Like many creatives I have pursued a career portfolio. As well as composing music for film and theatre, I am passionate about building community capacity and encouraging wide, deep and rich dialogue. I have pursued this passion through award winning programs that juxtapose core engagement techniques with innovative technologies and events

Matt Page

I’ve been a co-director of Switchboard Arts since 2020, and it’s been a privilege to have met and worked with so many wonderful Brisbane artists, performers, and supporters of the arts over the past two years.  As a musician and composer, I’m fascinated by creative process, artistic practice, and the elevation that emerges through collaboration and partnership.  By sharing our practice and supporting each other to thrive we embed a sustainable artistic footprint that resonates and delivers cultural, societal, and economic benefit.

With an extensive background in facilitation and engagement, I love bringing creatives together to produce events that activate accessible and meaningful interfaces between art, spaces, and the community.  After all, our ability to create and appreciate art is what makes us truly unique!

Michael Cahayagan

I’m a multimedia artist and joined Switchboard Arts in early 2022. I have an extensive record in film and design practice and I’m now applying my skills into future, fruitful events and experiences. I am inspired by Japanese pop and art culture and love collaborating! I have worked with multiple talents from different industries. This year I was fortunate to have my work exhibited as part of BrisAsia 2023.
